A few years ago, Pluto (the one in space) lost its planet status. With that, a Facebook group was started called When I was your age, Pluto was a planet. The group gave everyone, even the youngest among us, a chance to feel old and nostalgic for the days of elementary school astronomy. These days, Pluto may not be a planet, but it IS a pretty amazing Belgian loungewear brand.
Even though it seems at times that Bay Area rain will last forever, living here means being rewarded with exceptional spring and summer weather. Our warm days are just right - dry, breezy, not too toasty. Just enough heat to break out the shorts, and just enough chill that your leather jacket can remain part of your daily ensemble. If you're anything like me, you never want your good taste to start and end right outside your front door. Just because you're hanging at home for the evening or lounging on a sunny Sunday afternoon, doesn't mean you can't look chic, classic and yes, sexy.
If your taste is for loungewear pieces with style, exceptional cut and unparalleled personality, then Pluto is the perfect brand to add to your coziest of repetoires. The fabrics run the gamut from impossibly soft matelasse to the slinkiest of jersey knits. Each piece is made with care and we have a great array of pieces to choose from in a variety of sizes. When it comes to comfort, each piece fits the bill - not too heavy and not too thin. Just right for the Bay Area's warmer months!
So if you're seeking some sexy summer loungwear, gravitate towards Pluto. It may no longer hold planet status, but it will always be stellar to us!

The Newest from PJ Salvage
The last time we had PJ Salvage in store, the sets flew out the door faster than we could blink. Needless to say we were missing the oh-so-cute pajama line almost the second we'd come to adore it.
Pine no more, chers amis, for PJ Salvage is back once again and sweeter than ever! Our newest shipment (the Butterfly collection) features impossibly soft modal jersey printed with an ivory butterfly pattern on a coral pink ground, soft lace and sweet contrasting taupe bows.
From camis to chemises to shorts, this line has it all. In addition, we also have two different varieties of pants to offer in the Butterfly collection: one cropped and one palazzo. These are sure to be your new favorites, perfect for a warm summer night.
The Butterfly collection also features a few coordinating pieces in taupe for those of you who like to mix and match.
As if you needed more convincing, PJ Salvage's affordable price points are always a pleasant surprise: from a mere $38 for a pair of shorts to $69 for decadent Palazzo pants. This is one sweet indulgence you don't have to feel too guilty about!

Pajama Mama!
Mother's Day is fast approaching, and if your mom's anything like mine, she loves comfortable pajamas, and is a sucker for feminine colors. Good thing for both our mothers that we stock PJ Harlow!
PJ Harlow's Jolie Satin Pant, Charlie Racerback Tank and Josie Hooded Robe in Blush

The line marries sensible cuts with feminine styling to create pajama pieces that are at once fun, sexy and versatile. Our newest arrivals include pieces in blush, black, champagne and lilac, and we still have pieces in teal as well. The prices are great too -- ranging from $46 for the uber-cute Charlie Racerback Tank to $97 for the exquisitely comfortable and feminine Kimono Robe.
Mom will thank you with a hug and a kiss, then quietly pat herself on the back for passing her perfect sense of style on to you!

What's New?
There's nothing like catching up with old friends, and mes belles, we have so much to fill you in on! At A La Folie, there's something new in store for you, no matter what your style and size! The arrival of spring brings us lots of blue and lots of beauty. Here are a few of our favorite pieces!
Lejaby La Garconne (Royal Blue) - The menswear-inspired holiday favorite has returned, but this time in a sumptuous deep blue. All the design elements remain the same: satin stripes and binding, with crystal bow details, in an all-new color for spring!
Lejaby Envie de Coton (Denim) - A springtime treat! Envie de Coton mimics true battenburg lace perfectly. Add to that flourishes of ribbons and buttons, and you have one undeniably sweet countryside-inspired collection! In addition to the molded balconnet and soft demi cup bras, we received the bikini, tanga and string. Unlike many collections, Envie de Coton bottoms are each quite different in style from one another, so you're certain to find something to fit your unique sensibility! If you're looking for something with less color, be sure to check out Envie de Coton in white, expected in mid-April.
Prima Donna Babel (Precious Black) - This collection truly speaks for itself. We're in love with it. Can't you tell? For girls with more up top, it's truly the sexiest, most glamorous bra you can find, and it's been selling out all around the world! (Really!)
PJ Harlow (Champagne) - PJ Harlow loungewear has become a standout customer favorite since we first started carrying it late last year. It's the ideal go-to when you're seeking pajamas that bridge comfort and class. Never again will you have to sacrifice sensuality for coziness! In addition to receiving the collection in Champagne, we've also had our stock in teal fully replenished.
fleur't Eloise (Blue) - The fleur't Eloise collection has been flying out of the store. There's something about the classic combination of black and champagne that has made many of our customers into loyal fleur't girls... and now Eloise is available in a springy sky blue with beige trim -- perfect for the warmer weather. We're also excited to offer the 3/4 sleeve Eloise gown -- it's warmer and offers more coverage without eliminating any of the fleur't sass we've come to adore!
Every one of these items is available in the store now, so swing by to try out your favorites, and keep your eyes peeled for even more new collections in the coming weeks!

PJ Harlow is Here!
Even though I have one of the most preposterous lingerie collections in the San Francisco Bay Area I will admit that when I'm lazing around at home, sometimes (OK, most of the time) I prefer a good pair of cozy pajama pants to a lacy chemise. I'm a sucker for comfort. My husband just last year made me throw out a pair of pajama pants I got from Victoria's Secret in 7th grade. (I'm now 26. You do the math.) I relented. He insisted. "They're gross!" he said. "They're comfortable!" I said. I finally gave in, mostly due to the horrified look he mustered whenever I put them on. Having my favorite person in the world glare at me in disgust is generally a deal breaker. I threw the pants in the trash, and have finally, a year later, moved on. Despite the constant desire to dress as sexy as possible, we all have those evenings where it's extra nice to bundle up in some ultra soft PJs instead of our lacy intimates, and until now it's been a struggle to find brands that bridge the gap between cozy and sexy when it comes to loungewear.
That's where PJ Harlow comes in. Before you even see their collections, their name suggests the perfect bridge of comfort (PJ -- pajamas) and sensuality (Harlow -- reminiscent of movie icon Jean Harlow).
Their loungewear is undeniably comfortable, sweet and sassy. From mid-length (hooded!) robes to long satin pajama pants, PJ Harlow has it all. Each piece is durable and built to last, yet made of luxurious satin and extra soft knit. Never again will you have to give up comfort for beauty or beauty for comfort. Now you can have both! And there's one more adjective to add to the mix: easy. PJ Harlow's loungewear is entirely machine washable. Their prices are fantastic too, with the Josie Hooded Robe at $92, the Mike Satin Boxer Shorts at $51, the Jolie Satin Pants at $74 and the Charlie Racerback Tank at $46.
Swing by to check out the new collection, which just arrived in pink and teal. Their loungewear pieces will be arriving in black in early November.
